May 13th, 2022 will go down in history as one of the most important days in Hip-Hop. Not only did one of the biggest artists out of Southern California drop a long awaited project, but so did one out of Northern California. Today we’re gonna shine light on the album out of  Vallejo, California. Artist Daboii released “Can’t Tame Us” featuring 11 brand new tracks. With features on about half of the songs like Drakeo the Ruler, Ralfy The Plug, and Young Slo-Be to name a few, we also get a taste of Daboii’s solo work. Although the features compliment Daboii’s sound, it’s always nice when he’s able to showcase his lyrical abilities without having to share the spotlight. Executive produced by Blapdre, we expected it to be everything and some, however we got more than expected. Watching the elevation from YWN 2 , Still Gangin’ and House Arrest, Splash Bakery expects nothing but prosperity and high accolades for both Daboii and Blapdre. The runtime of this album is about 30 minutes with absolutely zero skips. The production, flows, clever lyrics, song placements, and overall energy of the project gives it great playback ability. There are some albums you play from beginning to end that don’t exactly flow like an incomplete rollercoaster. They’re bumpy and have inconsistencies sprinkled throughout that have you thinking about why you even decided to press play in the first place. Leaving you, the listener, no choice but to skip a portion of the album. “Can’t Tame Us” is a perfect example of an album we’ll be listening to for years to come and is definitely one of the best projects coming out of the Bay area.
