Today I have the pleasure of introducing you all to an extremely talented Bay Area Producer that goes by the name of Phillino. Growing up, Phillino witnessed his brothers creating music and quickly became hooked. By the age of 12, Phillino was able to decipher different elements of a beat that made it particularly someone’s style. Now 19, Phillino has been in the music scene for around 5 years and has big plans to become the next big producer out of the Bay Area. Phillino is looking to branch out more and work with more artists he looked up to while he was younger like Yatta, Daddex, and Suigeneris. “Sunny Side” is Phillino’s new single that he wrote back in his 6th period math class. This song came about when Phillino was about to graduate from a very prestigious highschool. Everything was going his way athletically and then things started falling apart due to coaches and injuries. Phillino didn’t feel like himself during these times and was reluctant to even attend school because of the fake persona his peers were giving off around him. By senior year Phillino was healed and ready to get back on the field, But his coach wouldn’t let him get any playtime no matter what he did. He ended up quitting football, graduating with a 3.4GPA, and even got an offer to play for City College SF. Phillino tells me that “Sunny Side” is a term used after you've persevered and made it through all the obstacles that were put in your life. It’s quite hard for people to reach the “Sunny Side” because they feel bad for themselves or take other routes instead of staying focused on what they want! Be sure to keep those eyes peeled for “Sunny Side” dropping sometime in December! Click HERE to check out Phillino’s instagram!
